Tea Time is Me Time
Tea time is me time and it’s my favorite time of the day. Enjoying tea with friends, family or just myself is all together one of the most amazing experiences. When I was doing research for HIDDEN IN SHADOWS, I took inspiration from a part-time job I had at a tea shop in Redmond, Washington. It was here that I learned how the right steep time and water temperature can make or break a cup of tea. In addition, I visited a wide variety of tea rooms and tea shops to speak with the proprietors and understand more about tea and how best to enjoy it. Here are some of my favorite tea websites:
My Happy Places
Visiting places for inspiration for stories is one of the best parts of being an author. There are so many beautiful places across our great land. For the ECHO MOUNTAIN SERIES I visited Estes National Park in Colorado to get a flavor for the terrain and the wildlife. For the PORT WHISPER SERIES I spent a lot of time in Coupeville and Port Townsend in Washington State to get a feel for the people and the vibe of these coastal communities.
